We continue to monitor the nuclear meltdown risk very carefully and the health and welfare of our missionaries are our number one priority. We are hundreds and hundreds of kilometers away from the nuclear power plants in question and separated by part of an ocean. The experts in Hokkaido believe there is relatively low risk for the inhabitants of the island, even if a meltdown occurred. We will continue to provide periodic updates and appreciate all of the love, concerns and prayers offered on behalf of the missionaries and the people of Japan

I am trying to ascertain the sitation of my missionary companion. Her name is Kumiko Kondo and she lives in Hakodate. Any update on her situtation would be much appreciated. I am Martin shimai and can be reached at workinprogress@telus.net. Thank you so very much for considering this request.
